Je n'ai pas encore lu de spoilers. Je sais que Sonic a été capturé par Metallix et Eggman et qu'il revient "différent" à Knothole.

Je soupçonne que Metal Sonic controle le corps de Sonic.

CATCH MORE OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG’S EARLIEST ADVENTURES IN SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #5!

In November, 2006, Archie Comics offered Sonic readers both new and old the opportunity to relive the earliest adventures of their favorite hero with the release of SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #1. A second volume followed in December, with a third slated for May, and a fourth in June. Reactions are in and everyone agrees: this new classic reprint series is a hit! Fans are jumping at the chance to travel back in time to where it all began. Back in 1993, Sonic the Hedgehog sped his way from video games to comic books. Almost 200 issues later, "the blue blur" can lay claim to having the most successful comic book career of all video game heroes. Now, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES, a thrilling series of upscale reprints, lets you revisit Sonic’s early days in a premium yet affordable format. These special 5 x 7 & ½ inch editions contain 112 action-packed pages, faithfully re-colored and printed on superior stock, with a low cover price of only $7.49 US! Picking up where the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #4 left off (which reprinted the original Sonic series issues #13 through #16), SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #5 brings fans these classic tales from issues #17 through #20 – including the first… and last appearance of Julayla, an early, important event in Sonic mythology! Stories include:

a.. “Gorilla Warfare/The Apes of Wrath” (issue #17): Robotnik sends King Gong to do battle with Sonic, but when the 800-pound gorilla-bot meets Sally, he decides he’s a lover, not a fighter!
b.. “Sally’s Crusade Part 1: First Star I See Tonight” (issue #17): A mysterious orb falls from the sky… what does it mean for Princess Sally?
c.. “Wedding Bell Blues” (issue #18): Sonic & Sally’s “wedding” brings Robotnik into the open… precisely the result the ruse was intended for!
d.. “Sally’s Crusade Part 2: In the Still of the Night” (issue #18): Sally is called to the bedside of her dying mentor Julayla… is the mysterious orb from the previous installment somehow connected?
e.. “Night of a Thousand Sonics” (issue #19): It all starts with one Sonic Cyborg stepping through a dimensional doorway in the Great Forest. Before it ends, the battle will involve thousands of Sonics, bots, Robo-Robotnik and even an uneasy-alliance between the original Sonic and the real Robotnik!
f.. “That’s the Spirit!” (issue #20): When an anti-matter explosion renders Sonic invisible, Sally and the others think that he has died and become a disembodied spirit.
g.. “Deadliest of the Species: Prologue” (issue #20): The lead-in to the popular Princess Sally mini-series. The intrigue starts here, as Sally comes face-to-face with Geoffrey St. John, who identifies himself as part of the rebel underground!

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #5, ships 8/29. 112-page, full color paperback, $7.49 US. SCRIPTS: Mike Gallagher, Angelo DeCesare, Mike Kanterovich & Ken Penders. ART: Dave Manak & Art Mawhinney. Colossal cover by Spaz!

Je vous rassure, la couverture n'est pas terminée.

HERE WE GO!

The cover is possibly the best SPAZ made for the regular series since The Darkest Storm! Designing 3 great covers in a month must be pretty insane!

I'm not really a great reviewer but I'll give it a shot.

It starts off where the Egg Fleet flys over Knothole. At Freedom HQ, Mighty and Vector are playing on the Gamecube (i think it's the GC) as Sonic plays the guitar. Knuckles is thinking to go look for Espio since he's been gone for a long time (see #174.) Rouge wants to help look for Espio (to impress Knux) and Julie-Su and Rouge argue.

Sally comes in and chats with Sonic about how everything is looking fine and dandy in Knothole. Tails and Rotor at the Brain Trust lab had Nicole make sure Sinvelly didn't sabotage anything before he left in #162. Rotor and Tails talk about how Tails is feeling after the heartbreak and death of the Turtle but is happy that his Family is back. Right when Nicole ran the diagnostic. She announces that they're under attack!

Snivelly (piloting a green mech that's about 3 or 4 ft taller than the mobians) destroyed the roof of Freedom HQ. Rotor shoves Tails away only for Rotor to get vaporized from the fingertips of the robot. He vaporizes Rouge, Julie-Su, and Vector at the same time. Bunnie then goes after Snivelly only to get caught by his bot's mechinized hand. Before Sally orders Sonic something, Snivelly vaporizes her, Antoine Ray, Charmy, and Saffron then zaps Bunnie.

Mighty gets to shine! Mighty (full of sadness and rage after his good friend Ray and everyone else got zapped) rips the arm of off Snivelly's mech and smashes the body in half. Snivelly's top half of the mech blasts Mighty as well. As Sonic races towards the mech, Snivelly ejects the head as his work was done since he was the distraction and self destructs the rest of the body causing Freedom HQ to cave in as Knux, Amy, and Tails try to hold the entrance and tells Sonic to go to Knothole to save everyone.

Unfortently for Sonic, the Egg Fleet is bombarding Knothole with alot of it already in flames. Even the lake of rings turned into a smoking crater, Uncle Chuck's diner was blown up, as well as Sonic's home. Sonic races to the sole structure that is left standing, Castle Acorn. Sonic thinks Elias got everyone there and can get there and hold off the invasion.

The Castle is blown up and emeraging from the flames from the destruction of the Castle is Dr. Robotnik's battle armor. It has an Eggman mustache, with spiked head, shoulders, and boots. Has a checker-wreaker ball on the right hand and a sheild in another. His feet has rocket boosters and can fire missiles from behind his spiked shoulders.

Robotnik says that everyone has been captured and sent into the Egg Grapes like Mogul and his crew. The reason Snivelly didn't zap him was because Robotnik wants to go one on one against Sonic as he lanches a bunch of missiles. As Sonic's dodging missiles, Robotnik attacks Sonic psychologicaly (will go into more detail later.) Sonic tries attacking the Eggman but raises the sheild and knocks Sonic with it and almost hits him with the checker wreaker ball. He then chases Soic with lasers and then hits him with the checker wreaker. Sonic tries to fight back but gets hit by it again.

Robotnik states that they've reached Sonic's limit. Sonic then races to the east coast of what used to be North America and back with everything he's got and slams Robotnik into the now ruins of Castle Acorn. Sonic think he's got Eggman but his battle armor emerges and the only damage was his sheild was dented. He hits Sonic with the sheild, then with the checker-wreaker, then kicks him, and finally shoots him with a laser (this time one that doesn't send anyone into the Egg Grapes.)

Robotnik then grabs a barly concusious Sonic and tells Sonic that he's going back to New Megaopolis and turn everyone in the egg grapes into fuel for his city and Sonic will be left there helpless. Then throws Sonic back to the ground as Robotnik and his Egg Fleet take off.

Tails, (who just dug out of the rubble) in tears comes running to the defeated Sonic saying everything is gone and Eggman won. Sonic (in pain) stands up and says to get Amy and Knuckles and have the for hurry to Robotnik's. TO BE CONTINUED...

Oh my gosh! This issue is defienitly a keeper! I know people say that this Robotnik is inferior to the classic Robotnik but aside from his goofiness, he is BRUTAL! He did what the original Robotnik could not do, destroy Knothole!! I don't even remember a time where Sonic was in for the fight of his life only to be defeated. I was shocked that there were no casuilties but I'm almost sure some will happen in the next issue or so. I'm sure there will be a better person to review and recap this. This issue is defineitly worth getting a spare copy to store it in a vault of other classics!

Here are some memorable quotes from this comic:

Mighty vs Snivelly:

Mighty: HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO RAY?! (rips arm off)
Snivelly: EEP!
Mighty (smashed the mech in half): HE COULD NEVER HURT YOU! I"D TOLD HIM I'D KEEP HIM SAFE! AND YOU GO AND VAPORIZE HIM!
Snivelly (vaporizing Mighty): Fine! I don't want you to feel left out!

During the epic battle between Sonic and Robotnik:
Eggman: I'm surprised you retain your confidence after so many failures. Or did you forget what happened to Tommy Turtle and Sir Connery? You never derobotizied your friends and family. And your father is still a robot! Or how about your love life, eh? Sally, Mina, even Fiona! So...how come you're all alone?

Sonic: SHUT UP! (hitting Eggman)
(That's as far as I'm gonna go for this piece, I thought it was awesome!)

Sonic defeated:
Sonic (after using the best figure 8 super peel out he's ever did): H-HA! H-How's that for m-my limit, Eggman?

Eggman (emeraging from the ruins): It's just fine, Sonic. Although I am a little upset that you dented the sheild. Like I said Sonic (hits him with sheild), you're out-matched...out-classed... (hits him with checker wreaker), you're not fast enough (kicks him), you're not strong enough...(shoots him with laser)...and you certainly aren't smart enough to defeat me.

I'm going back to New Megaopolis now. Once I've freshened up, I'm going to turn on the Egg Grapes. Everyone you've cared for will be turned into fuel for my city. And you'll be left here--helpless. I'm not playing with you, rodent. Run--Run all over the world and try to start a new Freedom Fighter group. You will find NO ONE. So run--for the rest of your life--and NEVER escape the humiliation of today. (throws Sonic to the ground)

Sonic : Entre 2 oreillers pourquoi?
