Because i'm a one heck of Sonic fan, today i'm gonna show you the game that was never seen. I did some research and this is what i found so far.

SONIC MARS.

Sonic Mars was a short thought of game, which tried to make Sonic “3D”, after the original team ditched it, SoJ, wanted to carry on with it for the 32X at the time. SoJ got a team together, from mainly SoA and SoE, they began working on the game, however when the 32X was failing, and a new console was coming out, the team re-thought there paths and started a newer looking version.

Being developed at the same time, as X-treme, they thought that there was no-real point of designing it for the Saturn, as X-treme was already in progress, instead they were to produce it for PC.

There was going to be eight levels, each with two acts and a boss act. Only two bosses was programmed and made, and only five out of the eight levels were in somewhat constructed, these were;
Tropical Area
Factory Area
Volcanic Area
Ocean Area
Death Egg

The ones that didn’t get some what of a design were Prison Area, Ice Area and Casino Area. There wasn’t any names for the zones, except Death Egg, however some people loved, Hot Rhythm for the Volcano Area.

Here are some of the pictures of the game in action.
(Sorry for the bad quality, these were taken about ten years ago on a old camera, and that been scanned by a old scanner.)

The first act, the Tropical Zone. You start in a forest.

The factory zone.

Another shot of the factory zone, where the 360o Camera was working as you can see in Sonic position.

The volcano zone, this is the only act that was completed in the terms of that Rings and badnik's and spring paths were programmed and fixed.

And thats all i've found so far, although i'm willing on continuing my research for more info about the game. Anyways that's a Sonic game that we don't know about in the list of the canceled Sonic games.

So what you say?

Sonic Roll (Working Title)

The game that was never seen, is now going to be seen today. You all know me as Amesuki, but my uncle knows me as “that kid who bugged me when designing this game”.

Well you are all probably thinking, what the heck just then, but my uncle was one of the chief artist’s and programmers in era of the Xtreme games. He didn’t work with Chris Senn, or on the game X-Treme, however he did on a “re-vamped” version of Sonic Mars.

Sonic Mars was a short thought of game, which tried to make Sonic “3D”, after the original team ditched it, SoJ, wanted to carry on with it for the 32X at the time. SoJ got a team together, from mainly SoA and SoE, where my uncle worked for. After my uncle got the job, they began working on the game, however when the 32X was failing, and a new console was coming out, the team re-thought there paths and started a newer looking version.

Being developed at the same time, as X-treme, they thought that there was no-real point of designing it for the Saturn, as X-treme was already in progress, instead they were to produce it for P.C. After initial ideas were down, my uncle went away to America to begin work, however every two weeks he came back to visit his daughter, so at that point I seized the time to look at what he was doing.

When researching, I found out, that the game was based on a 360o Camera. This meant that the player could view the level at various angles. Also that they wanted speed as a main feature, so that meant there was going to be loads of loops and paths. However I believe they never got around fully programming the speed factor.

Also another thing that they did, was that Sonic could stick to the walls, which actually made the game look real fun.

The main objective of this game, was to collect the seven pieces of the broken Emeralds, to open the gate to the next level. This proved the game to be very addictive. You also had your rings, shield(but they wasn’t programmed), and time as well as the general feature.

A savoir si tout celà est vrai ou fake...

Simple: c'est un fangame abandonné depuis un an ou deux, qui se trouvait sur un obscur site de fans.
